About Me
Raised in China, the UK and the US, I’ve been immersed in different cultures from a young age. I’m always listening, taking notes and asking questions. I’ve practiced journalism for more than three years and developed expertise in print, audio and video. I had held beats in healthcare and international politics.
I‘ve reported on the hill and produced student broadcast news for over three years. Recently, for Medill’s Journalism Residency program, I traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, and covered national and local healthcare systems for three months. I’ve also interned with NBC Nightly News and Apple News’ podcasts: Apple News Today and Apple News in Conversation.
My work has been recognized for multiple student awards and scholarships including RTDNA’s 2023 David Louie Scholarship, AAJA Student Excellent in Video Storytelling 2021 and Chicago/Midwest Student Emmy 2022.
